Come to the verge of the water
Gaze across the expanse.
Feel the pull and the power
Of the endless skin of blue.
Where does the sky meet the sea?

Come to the height of the mountain
Staring across the lands.
Brace your mind and body
Against the tug and push of the wind.
Where do the roots of the mountains lay?

Come to the midst of the desert
Survey for miles in every direction
See the rain falling like dust
See the rolling hills like waves.
Where does the sea lie?

Come to the edge of the forest
Inhale the scent of many trees
Feel the rough bark brush your fingers.
Hear the cry of many creatures.
What dwells 'neath the green canopy?

Tornado

Turning, twisting, spinning.

Swirling terrors

Of endless destruction.

Mile after mile,

Havoc follows it everywhere.

Twisting rotation,

Of endless rage,

Until, finally, at blessed last,

The twirling terror stops.

Do Not Fear

Do not fear,
Do not worry,

Do not run,
Do not hide,
I will care for you.

Don’t be scared,
Don’t be shy,

Let your heart open,
Let your walls down,

Sing

Sing with joy,

Do you not understand?

That joy, on this earth,

Doesn't always mean perfection.

Is not deprecating.

Love and Stress

Can you feel your heartbeat

Beating ever faster? 

Your hands shaking 

Your fingers trembling.

Do I describe love or fear?

But they are not the same

Despite these limited descriptions.

For this is the reaction

To compassion in love.

And the reaction to this 

Is gentle.

But in fear 

It seems that no one sees

There is no smile

To comfort you.

Wedding

Bells are ringing
Children singing,
It's a joyous celebration.
Laughter, dancing
Eating cake and icing.
Boy and girl
Become man and woman
With joy and sadness.
White and gold
Beauty and grace.
All parts of this
Glorious day.
